The Bare Family

Dean and I received movie gift cards for Christmas and after a rough couple of days and Dean going back to work tom {with plenty of overtime to come I'm sure} we decided to take advantage and use them today. Thanks to Granny for watching him for a bit we headed off with Kim to watch "Little Fockers". When we got back little man was PASSES OUT on the couch, lol!!

Well we didn't stay up to watch the ball drop, we were all WAY too tired from the lack of sleep. Another rough night... I will be glad when the meds start to really work and make my baby better. We planned on going to Okee and riding bikes today but it got a little side tracked with Zane driving Lightning. Thank goodness he's finally started to figure out how to steer that thing! haha! Oh.. and Bailey took a ride with him too :))) {just a few quick pics from our video camera so it's not the best quality}

Def not the way I seen the end of our year going {nor the beginning of next}. Zane woke us up at 2:30 this morning with a 102.5 fever!! We put him in bed with us after realizing that he was NOT going to go back to sleep in his bed after his meds. 6 hours later and maybe an hour or so of sleep for all of us we were up trying to get a hold of the dr for an appt. I tried from 8:30 till 10:30 before we decided to just pack him up and head in. After getting there our suspicions that they were having phone problems were confirmed. His temp was 103.1 once we got to the dr.. WITH MEDS!! 30 min later we were leaving with antibiotics for an ear ache and were told to keep him on the ibuprofen as needed to keep the fever at bay... poor baby :( I am happy to report that he def was starting to feel better later tonight though {hope this crud doesn't last long..}

So after returning from Disney for a week and Zane sleeping with me that week we had a bit of a time with bed time. We NEVER had this problem!!! So we started a new bed time routine tonight and I sure hope that it works... I'm not liking having to fight little man to go to bed. :/ So.. our new routine?? Reading a book or two to get things calmed down.. so far so good... he LOVES it!!

We actually got some flurries at the house this morning!!! Woo Hooo!!! Not the best pic in the world.. but they were here!! {and they were actually sticking for a little bit before they melted!!} :)))))

So we started out Christmas morning at our house. Kim stayed the night so she'd be there first thing when Zane got up. Once he was up we called dad over so we could start the un-wrapping {or so I thought}. Zane was so happy with the traveling train set that he got to open the day before that he could careless about opening up his presents... after a bit of coaxing he opened a few.. then it resorted to threatening to take his train away so that he would open at which point he had a meltdown, lol! Mommy ended up opening up most of his presents.. hopefully next year is a little smoother in the opening department!! haha! Once we were finished up at our house off to Granny's we went... where Zane had another mountain of presents waiting for him, lol! This is one spoiled little boy!! Uncle Jeff joined us and his Hess truck and jet were the hit of all the presents! Then off to the last stop.. Aunt Deanna and Lane's! We always end the night with the whole Bare family. The ...

Today we sat down and made cookies for Santa :) I was so happy that Zane actually wanted to help!! Here are some quick pics of our adventures in cookie making with Zane, lol!
