The Bare Family

We came home from camping this morning early to get some stuff done around the house. Today had been exceptionally hard. It without a doubt hit WAY harder than I had expected. I cut grass and other things to keep myself busy in hopes that it would help. The kids gave Dean his presents tonight before bed and Zane was trying to take them over, haha! I'm so grateful for always telling my daddy how much I appreciated him and how thankful I was for his guidance and advice.. though I wish I'd told him more. I was really beside myself and didn't particular care to celebrate today and just wanted to find a fast forward button..... and Dean was more than understanding.

We finally had a chance to go camping this weekend. It was SO much fun!! This was Zane's first trip and he seemed to really enjoy himself. Peyton stayed at our house with Melissa all weekend and Zane camped with us Friday night and headed home on Saturday {he was WORN out!!} Our weekend was full of friends, swimming, Curt running the new boat into the trees {nothing was hurt thank GOD!!}, campfires, snoring {haha}, smores, boat activities and just plan old fun. No pics from the weekend but it was sure a memorable one!

Cabinet install day is HERE!! YAY!!! {I'll have before and after pics once it's all done} I was up at 7am today for the install guy... and boy is that super EARLY when you've been out of that habit for YEARS! I better get use to it if Zane's going to start school in the fall though! The plumbers were next to show up today and they finished up the plumbing in the addition. Our awesome contractor was next and gave me an update as to where we were on the addition and then we discussed the removal of the fireplace for our french doors in the living room. We then discussed the deck that will be off the back and around the pool. Tonight calls for Dean finishing up ripping the bar out so those cabinets can be placed in tom and I'm off to pick out our counter tops!! 50 things at once or nothing!! haha!! OH! and Zane seen the puppies for the first time this morning!! he LOVES them "Momma, there so cuuuute!"

So I hung out with the kids this morning before Aunt Kim arrived to hang out with Zane for the day. On their agenda was swimming and a movie... then they were off to play with Granny for a bit. I on the other hand had a couple of things to do ... I bought these awesome tables for our family room that I needed to go and get and then Dean sent me to go look at puppies {that I SWORE we were NOT getting!!! but after Dean promising Zane a puppy and him asking about it... well they had me!} So off Peyton, Melissa and I were to get everything done. Our coffee table and end tables for the new family room! Our newest additions.. Emma and Zoey! Once back I had a killer headache so I laid down a bit to try and get rid of it... it disappeared so Melissa and I jumped in the pool since Peyton was napping. Then of course... a storm rolled in. Dean got home a little later and he finished ripping out the cabinets in the kitchen.

This has been like any other weekend that Dean has drill... Today was a little different though. This morning we were up early since our cabinet guy was coming out to inspect everything so that we could start to have them installed this week. Then it was off to Target for a couple of things and back home to swim in the pool {That is FINALLY finished!!} that Zane has been dreaming about! After swimming for a while clouds started rolling in so against what Zane though out of the pool it was. Zane went down for a nap and that was the end to our normal day. I had went outside to see what Curt and Mary were up to and Watson as usual was trying to escape his pen. While I was outside he had managed to get his head stuck on the chain between the gate and the fence that locks them together and began thrashing around. I ran across the yard to get to him and get him calmed and un-stuck. After getting him out I checked him over and got him calmed down before heading back inside. While ...

Watch out!! We now have windows and doors!!! And everything inside is framed up!!!
