Let's Catch Up {2}

April 2015 brought more zoo trips,  a visit to the Easter Bunny, Kennedy Space Center, checking out Jets on base, Disney on Ice, Strawberry pickin', swimming, Zane's school field trip to Diamond D Ranch, SOCCER and ofcourse Easter!  Can you tell I was trying to keep us side tracked from deployment?!?!

May 2015 brought in Peytons birthday (which will be a separate post), cracker barrel, peyton's pre-k 3 graduation, a lot more soccer, pool time, Zane's kindergarten field day, award ceremonies, more shell hunting at the beach, ending of a school year, more swimming, zoo trip and lots of wine for momma, lol!

Horrible News

Well I had planned on updating everything from last Sat through today tonight and well, I will be putting that off for a little while... I got some horribly bad news when Dean and I got home tonight. My Grandpa passed away this afternoon... I'm beyond a loss for words. I have spent so much of my life with him.. I love him so very much and loved seeing him with Zane... I couldn't wait for him to get to watch him grow. I will miss him so very very much. He always had the best stories and was very good at making things with his hands. He has made me so many things over the years that it's not even funny. I'm so very glad that he did get a chance to make Zane a stool and rocker. On Sunday Zane was 5 months and so we took him out for his 5 months pics. I wanted to base his pictures this month around the rocker that Grandpa had made him for Christmas... I just couldn't wait to send him these pictures! I wanted to be there to see the smile that I knew it would bring

2 weeks old....

Time is certainly flying!  I can't believe Zane is 2 weeks old today....  And I'm turning 27 today!!!  Not too much to report... Monday I had my 2 week post delivery doctor's visit... I'm down 23 pounds and healing great... and I can drive again!! lol!  Zane had his 2 week well check visit on Tuesday.  He weighs 8 lbs 11 oz... so he's up 14 oz since last week!!  and he's 22 inches now.... he's grown a 1 1/2 inches since he was born.  The first thing the doctor asked when he walked in the room was "What are you feeding this kid!?!?"  lol!  It was pretty funny.  So he's growing great... they're looking for him to be about 12 lbs by the time he's 2 months.  On to the crappy news.. Dean and I have been avoiding sick people like the plague... and well, we winded up getting sick last Friday.  I thought we were in the clear with Zane because by Monday night he still showed no signs of being sick....
