GAVIN IS HERE!!!!

Gavin Walker Young made his arrival today at 4:56pm, weighing 8 pounds and was 20.5 inches long. Candy went in this morning at 7am to be induced seeing that Mr Gavin was so comfy he didn't want to come out. She labored all day without pain meds.. I'm so proud of you girl! She actually had dilated completely but he hadn't dropped far enough yet and then they were having problems with his blood pressure being in the 90's too long so Candy ended up having to have a c-section. Mom and baby are doing GREAT. Can't wait to go and meet Gavin tom!!! Will update tom once we're home with pictures :) CONGRATS Candy and Matt!!! And Happy New Year!!!

Merry Christmas!

Image
Happy Birthday Jesus!!! He truely is the reason for the season. I'm stealing something from my cousins page.... I really liked it and wanted to share... Santa's Christmas Prayer The sleigh was packed, the reindeer were fed, But Santa still knelt by the side of the bed. "Dear Father," he prayed "Be with me tonight. There's much work to do and my schedule is tight. I must jump in my sleigh and streak through the sky, Knowing full well that a reindeer can't fly. I will visit each household before the first light, I'll cover the world and all in one night. With sleighbells a-ringing, I'll land on each roof, Amid the soft clatter of each little hoof. To get in the house is the difficult part, So I'll slide down the chimney of each little heart. My sack will hold toys to grant all their wishes. The supply will be endless like the loaves and the fishes. I will fill all the stockings and not leave a track. I'll eat every cookie that's left f

Christmas Eve

Image
So we started off today by going to pick up Zane's one month pictures. So here they are... After picking them up we decided to pick up a few last min gifts before heading home. Once we got home I started making my FIRST Christmas dinner. We decided to do Christmas dinner at my dad's house this year... another first. We did it on Christmas eve because he's working days and we'll be celebrating with Dean's family on Christmas night. So I must say that my dinner turned out quite well... I'm def proud of myself! We had ham, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes (Dean doesn't eat sweet potatoes) and rolls. Then for dessert we had apple pie and sweet potato pie. It was great! We then all opened our presents.... here's what santa brought early..... lol!! Interested in what's under the paper Checking out his dvd No clue what exactly he was looking at... but he was happy! Trying on a pair of his new shoes Zane's loot from

St Augustine Lights

Image
So tonight we (Dean, myseld, Zane, Kim and Mrs Sue) decided to go to St Augustine to look at the lights. They had a big thing down there on Saturday night which is when I originally wanted to go, but it just didn't work out for us. So after Dean got off he met me at his mom's and off we went. We parked in the parking garage once we got there and there was such a long line for the trolle that we decided that we would just walk around. I must say that I was disappointed with the lights... I just thought that there would be more I guess. I'm sure had we done the trolle ride it probably would have been 100% better. So after looking at everything we headed back to the car.... only after stopping to eat some pizza :) I'm sure we'll try it again next year... but we'll be going the night that everything is going on. Here are a few pictures that we took tonight in front of the Christmas tree. Mommy, Daddy and Zane Granny Bare and Zane Aunt Kim and Zane The tree we

Gingerbread House....

Image
So tonight we decided to make a gingerbread house. Well... I ended up making it while Dean sat on the couch and Zane was sleeping. I did get Dean to participate a little and take some pics (he was giving Bailey modeling sessions!).... lol, it was fun! Bailey was actually playing the guitar (seriously) making some music while we decorated. Maybe next year I'll get some real help though :) Here are some pics from tonight... all the pieces for the house just getting started Dean adding the roof Adjusting the roof Mine and Bailey's modeling session courtesy of Dean... see even Bailey thinks he's crazy (lol) Zane snoozin' Dean looking at a wakeboard mag. Catching up...

Image
Ok... so I've been so horrible this week about posting and taking pics :( I've been trying to get some Christmas shopping done, which is so unusual! I'm usually done before Thanksgiving.... and now I remember why! We're still waiting on the arrival of Mr Gavin... seems he's going to be fashionably late! :) Can't wait to meet you Gavin! Let's see... Thursday Zane's birth announcement was in the paper!! Here it is.. Friday we had an appointment for Zane's hip ultrasound. Breech baby's have to have ultrasounds to make sure they aren't having any problems with their hips. He screamed almost the entire time! We won't have the results for about week, but the ped thinks everything is fine. Yesterday Zane sat up on his own!!! It was only for a few seconds, but he still did it! I was laying on the couch with my knees up and him leaning back against them, when he some how pulled himself forward to sit straight up! He sat there like I sai

Zane's a month old

Image
Where did the time go!?!? I can't believe he's a month old already! He's grown so much! He's already scooting around, rolling over (well 4 times - 2 back to tummy and 2 tummy to back) and of course holding his head up (he's been doing that since he was born!). He's now trying to sit up... I can't believe he's moving sooo fast! He's sitting in his Bumbo chair almost everyday. We had his pictures done once again, poor kid!, for his one month... I'll post them once I get them :) For now here are some in his Christmas pajamas... Zane got his first Christmas card today in the mail!! It was from his Great Grandma Bare.....

So Blessed....

So we found out some horrible news this afternoon.  One of our friends who was pregnant told us that she had another miscarriage.  My heart sank!  She had found out she was pregnant about 2 weeks before I did and miscarried about a week later, and now miscarried a second time. I feel so guilty that we had it so easy.  I mean yes it did take us almost 10 months, but we still got pregnant. Yes, I was completely and totally miserable the first 4 months from being sick, but I was still pregnant. Yes, my c-section started out a little rough, but we had a beautiful, healthy baby boy.  We've had friends who have had several miscarriages and then some who have yet to be pregnant and I realize just how blessed we truely are.  I pray everyday for those longing for a family that I now have.  I just can't understand why they have to go through everything that they're going through.  It truely breaks my heart.  So please pray a short prayer for our close friend that she may find peace a

Dinner with Santa Night

Image
So tonight we met Dean's cousins in Kingsland at Chick-fil-a to have dinner with Santa.  It was fun and even I took a picture with Santa, lol! Kate and Zane.... Then after we finished eating we headed into St Mary's to watch the live nativity.  It was really neat... I didn't get a lot of pictures though, so here's a few....   Daddy making sure Zane stayed warm... Mary, Joseph and Jesus... 3 Wise men... The Dingman Family.... The Bare Family.... Mommy and Zane.... All bundled up.... Next stop was the radio station on the way home for pizza and dessert and spending some time with Aunt Vicki and Uncle Paul.... and we got to see Santa again!!!  (I'll have to steal some of Deanna's pics for this section... I left my camera in the car!) This is little man when we got home... He passed out! (notice Bailey is passed out too!)
