Bringing in the New Year

We decided REALLY late to have  a get together for New Years so most of our friends and family already had plans but we ended up having a lot of fun.  I'm for one looking forward to a new year with a new start.. ready to put 2012 behind me!  We thought for a while there it was just going to be us and the Yake family bringing in the new year but then Brian, Caitlyn, Quentin, Amanda and Jen came out.  We spent the night playing dancing games on the xbox, riding in the barrel train, riding go karts {with flash lights attached for headlights, ahaha!} and some time by the fire pit with fireworks and sparklers.  It was without a doubt a good night.

Horrible News

Well I had planned on updating everything from last Sat through today tonight and well, I will be putting that off for a little while... I got some horribly bad news when Dean and I got home tonight. My Grandpa passed away this afternoon... I'm beyond a loss for words. I have spent so much of my life with him.. I love him so very much and loved seeing him with Zane... I couldn't wait for him to get to watch him grow. I will miss him so very very much. He always had the best stories and was very good at making things with his hands. He has made me so many things over the years that it's not even funny. I'm so very glad that he did get a chance to make Zane a stool and rocker. On Sunday Zane was 5 months and so we took him out for his 5 months pics. I wanted to base his pictures this month around the rocker that Grandpa had made him for Christmas... I just couldn't wait to send him these pictures! I wanted to be there to see the smile that I knew it would bring
