Happy 4th

What a day!! We had made plans to head to church this morning but we all ended up sleeping in a bit since we were up so late the night before. I then headed off to Callahan for a Newborn session {check out my Barefoot Images blog}. Once back from Callahan we started getting ready to go eat with Dean's side of the family {minus Deanna, Lane and Hannah} at Sonny's and then we headed off to Fernandina to watch the {2 min that we thought was going to be a 20 min} parade, lol! It was fun though... what can't be fun with family!?!? We had originally planned to stay in Fernandina and play around till fireworks, but then decided at the last min just to head back to Hilliard and catch the fireworks there .... and boy are we glad we did... {much closer to home!} It was a great 4th... but next year we're doing a party here!! lol!!

Horrible News

Well I had planned on updating everything from last Sat through today tonight and well, I will be putting that off for a little while... I got some horribly bad news when Dean and I got home tonight. My Grandpa passed away this afternoon... I'm beyond a loss for words. I have spent so much of my life with him.. I love him so very much and loved seeing him with Zane... I couldn't wait for him to get to watch him grow. I will miss him so very very much. He always had the best stories and was very good at making things with his hands. He has made me so many things over the years that it's not even funny. I'm so very glad that he did get a chance to make Zane a stool and rocker. On Sunday Zane was 5 months and so we took him out for his 5 months pics. I wanted to base his pictures this month around the rocker that Grandpa had made him for Christmas... I just couldn't wait to send him these pictures! I wanted to be there to see the smile that I knew it would bring
