Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommy's and mommy-to-be's!!!!! This is my first and I feel so blessed beyond words for my son and I'm so happy that I finally get to celebrate being a mommy!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Mother's Day!!!


A mothers day poem.....

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots..
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom

Well I had planned on updating everything from last Sat through today tonight and well, I will be putting that off for a little while... I got some horribly bad news when Dean and I got home tonight. My Grandpa passed away this afternoon... I'm beyond a loss for words. I have spent so much of my life with him.. I love him so very much and loved seeing him with Zane... I couldn't wait for him to get to watch him grow. I will miss him so very very much. He always had the best stories and was very good at making things with his hands. He has made me so many things over the years that it's not even funny. I'm so very glad that he did get a chance to make Zane a stool and rocker. On Sunday Zane was 5 months and so we took him out for his 5 months pics. I wanted to base his pictures this month around the rocker that Grandpa had made him for Christmas... I just couldn't wait to send him these pictures! I wanted to be there to see the smile that I knew it would bring

I need your opinion for father's day photo!!!

Ok... So I'm going to enter Dean into a father's day contest and need everyone's opinion on a picture to submit. So please vote for 1 picture and then I'll see which has the most and that will be the one that I submit.... I have to have it submitted by the 31st.. but would like to do it before then...
