Happy Father's Day

We came home from camping this morning early to get some stuff done around the house. Today had been exceptionally hard. It without a doubt hit WAY harder than I had expected. I cut grass and other things to keep myself busy in hopes that it would help. The kids gave Dean his presents tonight before bed and Zane was trying to take them over, haha!

I'm so grateful for always telling my daddy how much I appreciated him and how thankful I was for his guidance and advice.. though I wish I'd told him more. I was really beside myself and didn't particular care to celebrate today and just wanted to find a fast forward button..... and Dean was more than understanding.

Horrible News

Well I had planned on updating everything from last Sat through today tonight and well, I will be putting that off for a little while... I got some horribly bad news when Dean and I got home tonight. My Grandpa passed away this afternoon... I'm beyond a loss for words. I have spent so much of my life with him.. I love him so very much and loved seeing him with Zane... I couldn't wait for him to get to watch him grow. I will miss him so very very much. He always had the best stories and was very good at making things with his hands. He has made me so many things over the years that it's not even funny. I'm so very glad that he did get a chance to make Zane a stool and rocker. On Sunday Zane was 5 months and so we took him out for his 5 months pics. I wanted to base his pictures this month around the rocker that Grandpa had made him for Christmas... I just couldn't wait to send him these pictures! I wanted to be there to see the smile that I knew it would bring
